SuiteFlow (Workflow Manager) Reference: State Fields
State Fields are custom fields that can be only accessed in the State where it was defined in the Workflow.
Use this field to store temporary values that are used only within a single state.
To create a State field, click on the State to define the field, then in the Context Panel on the right side of the diagrammer, click the Fields tab. Next, click on the New State Field option. See the sample screenshot below:
Next, configure the field just like a regular custom field. See the sample screenshot below:
Note: The default value set for the custom field is assigned at the time the workflow enters the state it was under.
