email issues with opportunities...

I am new to netsuite so forgive my ignorance if my issue is not worth the time of day..

I find it hard, yet alone dangerous the way netsuite tracks emails sent out of its system. For example if I send a message to a contact thru NS, and then I create an opportunity for them later on, this message won't be available directly through the 'messages' subtab in that opportunity.:mad:  (i have to go thru the contact file itself) then clik on messages tab

Furthermore, If I create a quote for this customer, save the quote, and then email it to them as an attachment, I can't see this information directly from the
