Outlook Integration on Netsuite - Events & Tasks

Whenever someone sends an invitation to a meeting, the organizer's email address gets altered.  Does anyone know why?

a bunch of tags come after the email address.
MCHEN </O=MEX05/OU=EXCHANGE ADMINISTRATIVE GROUP /CN=RECIPIENTS/CN=MCHEN>

as a result, i am unable to accept their invitation.
if i try, i get an email back saying

The format of the e-mail address isn't correct. A correct address looks like this: someone@example.com. Please check the recipient's e-mail address and try to resend the message.


as for now, i had to disable syncing events & tasks on netsuite.
