Export as Excel, numeric fields stored as text after upgrade

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has encountered this problem. When exporting as excel a search result, numeric fields are not appearing as text thereby preventing numerical calculations performed directly without transformation. We started to have this problem only after the upgrade. I check with different office versions 2010/13, seems to be a pattern.

Anyone has any inputs regarding this?
