Printing from custom records using existing letter/pdf templates

edited Jan 8, 2020 3:35AM in SuiteCloud / Customization 11 comments

Hello all,

I am trying to set printing capabilities on custom records which will help users print using letter/pdf templates.
There is already a "print" button that appears on custom records, however, when you click on it, the information showing up is not the way we want it displayed (and not in a word/pdf format).

I am thinking about the following -

1) Workflow: Added a button called "Print Special". Create a script that will pickup a specific letter template (assigned to that particular custom record) and merge the information on to it.

2) Custom Actions: Add a custom action that shows the "Print Special" button (it shows up only in edit mode however).
