Search/Report on Invoice linkage

We'd like to create a simple search or report that would generate a list of invoices and the sales orders that they are linked to.  (We have Advanced Shipping, so we fulfill and invoice separately.)

I can see in the GUI that each Invoice shows a 'created from' field when linked to a Sales Order.  But I don't find that field available for reporting.

Alternatively, a list of Sales Orders and the Invoices attached would work to.

This seems pretty fundamental, so perhaps there's something obvious I'm missing here.  Anyone do this on a regular basis?
