Sales Team group name in saved searches

We have sales reps/engineers/mgrs organized into Sales Teams (Setup > Sales > Sales Teams).  The teams have a unique name ("Group") based on geographical territory.

We would like to be able to summarize transactions (sales order and opportunities) by Sales Team in saved searches and reports.  We would like the name ("Group") of the Sales Team to appear as the summary level header.

The canned report "Sales by Sales Team" only displays the sales reps/supervisors names in a hierarchical listing, and not the team name.

Is there any way to access this Sales Team group name in saved searches and reports?
