External to NetSuite Management Reporting Tools - what are you using?

What are you using as a Management Reporting tool outside NetSuite?

We know and understand saved searches, we know the native NetSuite report writer for financials, but we are looking for tools that will allow use to create complex custom reports where we combine transaction data with multiple entity data and with regional data.

Any response (even if it's just EXCEL) would be greatly appreciated.
