How to fake a cookie

edited Feb 2, 2013 10:01PM in Web Site / E-Commerce 2 comments

Hi,

I'm trying to create a cookie to mimic the one NetSuite creates for the checkout.netsuite.com page.

From what I've tested the persistent cookie values are the last session and email, so I guess if I can recreate a cookie to mimic this.

The purpose is to gather information for the customer via a form funnel, ultimately adding products to the cart via url tags (&x=y) and at the same time creating this session cookie. The final result would be a populated cart and a customer who has most cart information already filled. So instead of going to the registration screen, he would go directly to the checkout process.
