Search filter for External ID on Case Record

EDIT: Well it appears I had a small typo in the numbers I tested between the various methods, so I thought that it was failing when it actually was getting 0 results.  It does work fine.

I couldn't find any posts on filtering by 'externalid' though, so maybe this post will help someone else (like me) who was suspicious of some unusual behavior with the field because there were few forum examples.  The operators 'anyof' and 'is' are both okay.
