Suitescript search filter

Hi All,

How to set search filter for field "transaction date" filter by year ?

Example in suitescript I want to search sales order transaction by filter year of transaction date is "2013" ?

so far what I found in help is usage to get from nlobjSearchColumn, not for use in filter

var year = new nlobjSearchColumn('trandate').setFunction("year")
