Search for Subordinate's Activities

Try as I might I cannot seem to create an activity search which would display a users subordinates activities (except by actually entering each subordinates name - it needs to be dynamic) please, please help

Something like "created by : is subordinate"?

The idea is for my Managers to just go to a search which shows what their staff are up to...
