SAVED SEARCH - Criteria Summary Formula, field value at certain date?

Hello,
Got a saved search that basically finds paid invoices for the last year and averages the period until payment was received, grouped by customer name.

What I want, is to reduce that search to only include customers that have invoices due at the end of this month. (not open invoices, or any balance: just due at the end of this month)

I'm thinking maybe a formula in the Summary Criteria, that gives the value of the "balance" field at the start of this month, because that is the value due at the end of the month.

So this is my QUERY: Is there a formula that gives the value of a field, at a certain date?
