Payroll Changes Memo - New Jersey Family Leave Insurance 1-1-09
Please be informed that starting January 1, 2009, employers subject to the laws of New Jersey temporary disability must begin withholding the new Family Leave Insurance tax.
Covered employees will pay the Family Leave Insurance up to the $28,900 limit which is the same taxable wage limit for Unemployment/Workforce/and Temporary Disability Insurance. This employee tax will commence on payrolls with 2009 paydates.
In NetSuite, this will appear as a tax item on the Taxes subtab found on the Payroll tab of the Employee Record.
