Add Location to SO Search / Filter Choices - Guidance Requested

Hi All-
I am still in "leach" mode on the Forum -- it will change soon.
I am not looking for someone to code this for me (unless they want to) but rather point me in the right direction. I know this should be a relatively basic enhancement but yes I am new to NetSuite, have been in IT for 20 years and used many ERPs, APIs, SASS solutions but cannot find any other questions about this seemingly common enhancement idea. Any guidance or pointers in the right direction would be appreciated...
