Workflow Trigger PopUp on Transaction Delete?

I can create a Workflow with a Trigger Type of 'Before Record Submit' and an Event Type of 'Delete'.
However, I can't find a suitable Action to work with this?
I want to display some kind of popup or warning message as the transaction is deleted.
I've tried 'Show Message' and 'Confirm' but neither of these appear to work. I've tried both 'Before User Submit' and 'Before User Edit' as the Form event.
Is there a way to display a custom message when an item fulfilment transaction is deleted?
