Managing Different Customer Types
Today we have different types of customers:
- Prospects - organizations who are considering using our products, we may bill them for proof-of-concept work
- Customer - organizations who use our products, we bill them for use of our products
- Some of our larger customers have IT service organizations that we bill too
- Partner - organizations who help our customers use our products, we bill them for support services
- Vendor - organizations who we generally pay for goods and services, but sometimes we bill them for various reasons
- Intercompany - cross-charges across the our legal entities
