Inventory Turnover Rate KPI

I would like to be able to monitor the turn over rate for all my items. But we manufacture many items so the raw material might not be sold ever.

Looks like currently Netsuite defined turnover rate as

Inventory turnover rate = cost of goods sold / average inventory

And if an item is never sold, well it never turns? But we do turn our raw material.

Any help setting up a better Report for this?
