NSC | Determining the Correct Context and Event Type Filters for Workflow Initiation or Action Exec.
There are instances where it is required to Initiate a Workflow or Execute a Workflow Action only for tasks under specific Context(s) and/or Event Type(s). For example, some Workflows should only initiate during record update via CSV Import, Mass Updates, etc.
This can be configured using the Trigger Type, Event Types, and Contexts fields on the Workflow Definition Page for Workflow Level; and using the Trigger On, Event Types, and Contexts fields on the Workflow Action Page for Action Level. See below for the field screenshots.
Note: The available Event Types depend on the selected State/Server Trigger
