Line System Notes not Updated when Changes is made through Script

I have a user event script that updates a value of a custom column field 'FieldA' in Item Sublist (Sales order Record).

Then I have a saved search that shows results whenever FieldA value is changed.

After running the saved search, I realized I am not getting any results. I checked the Sales Order Line System Notes and found the changes in FieldA is not logged.


How do I make sure changes in FieldA is logged in Line System Notes?
