Quota vs Forecast (Opportunity transaction fields)

Has anyone figured out how to link Opportunity (transactions) to Quota and report on the comparison?

We would like to view a Sales Rep's Quota or Team Quota versus Projected Total from Opportunity but NetSuite limits the ability to add Opportunity fields to the Forecast vs Quota report or any of the Forecast vs Quota reports (Class, Department, etc.) . There is also no way to link Quota to Opportunity in Saved Search. I also tried using a workflow (set field value) to bring the value from Quotas to Opportunity based on the Sales Rep but no luck.

Would appreciate any pointers or leads.
