Restricting - Saved Search / Quick Search / Global Search
- I have restricted the Customer/Vendor/Employee Search for users to a limited number of columns by creating and assigning a saved search with role-based restrictions.
- This works correctly for the standard/customized saved search I created and assigned on the User Roles as below:
- However, users still have the option “Return to Criteria” while running the search, where they can select additional columns that we do not want them to access.
- Even though users are unable to save these modified searches, they can still run or preview or submit the results, which creates a security risk.
- The same issue occurs in Quick Search and Global Search, where restricted data can still be exposed
