Adding a Netsuite custom field (numeric) as a fact/measure to transaction subject areas

Is anyone familiar with how to add a custom fact/measure to the Netsuite data Model in NSAW? I have a custom numeric field on the transaction header record.

The Data Configuration → Custom Attribute Mapper in the NSAW seems to only extend things as dimensions. I tried Add a Fact under Semantic Model Extensions but was giving be an error that it could not be joined and the Add Columns option did not seem to work either.
