How can we split or create separate Sales Orders for orders placed from the SCA (SCS version)

Hello Team,

SCS site users add items to the cart that belong to different categories, for example, Category-1 and Category-2. The customer can make payments using Credit Card, Terms(Invoice), and other payment methods (to be implemented in the future). The order also includes shipping methods and items having tax-exempt.

My question is: Is it feasible to create separate Sales Orders for Category-1 items and Category-2 items in SCS/Customization?
If yes, please share the steps. Thanks in advance!
