"Contract Renewal" Workflow
I have never put together a workflow and was told for renewing a Sales Order this is what I should do:
1.Sales Order (contract) is set up.
2.Contact is billed out based on billing schedule (monthly, quarterly,e tc).
3.At a predetermined time (say 60 days in advance), a Workflow will kick in based on the Sales Order.
4.An Opportunity record is created in the system based off of the Sales Order populating all fields and a current transaction date.
5.Sales Rep is notified of the opportunity (if you want that) or whomever.
6.Then convert the Opportunity to a Sales Order with a click.
