WorkFlow and SuiteScript Issues - please confirm

Yet another attempt to use WorkFlows is blowing up in my face and before I ignore the feature for another year I wanted to confirm the following are true:

[*]A WorkFlow that executes a Custom Action will not trigger the SuiteScrpt debugger for that action.  So I have a scheduled workflow and I've been observing it's execution schedule.  About 3-4 minutes before it's going to run next I launch the script debugger on the Custom Action being called by the workflow.  WorkFlow runs, debugger never breaks into code.
[*]Custom Actions scripts that have calls to nlapiLogExecution() will not actually log anything.  - I have a WorkFlow that is calling a Custom Action to update some fields, it was not working (no errors, nothing - just not doing anything).  Due to issue #1 above I resorted to littering my Action code with debug statements to trace how far the execution was getting to try to pinpoint the offending section.  Nothing at all is logged into the Execution Log on the script record.
