Journal Entry workflow Amount issue

Hi all,

Trying to have create a two level approval process for Journals based on the amount. I tried to transition to another state when an approve button was clicked and the amount is > 5K.

The problem is that it will not transition because of something to do with the "amount" condition i have applied. the button works fine without the amount condition so I must be doing something wrong. Is there a different field i should be using instead of amount?
