When deploying a project that contains a map/reduce script, adding or removing entry point functions (map or reduce) does not seem to trigger an update to the script record. The initial creation of the script record does configure it correctly, but further edits and redeployments that add or remove entry points have no effect on the script record. This results in a script that (for instance) now has a map function that is never called.

Editing and saving the file directly in the NetSuite UI seems to validate the script properly and check the appropriate entry point function checkboxes on the script record.
