Refunding/cancelling a gift certificate

Can anyone help me with cancelling a gift certificate.  I have a customer who purchased a gift certificate a couple of months ago and now wants to get her money back.  NS issued a gift certificate code and everything.  I don't know how to get the actual gift certificate code cancelled. 

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
