Social Biz Media: Yammer vs Qontext
At the NS Conference, both Yammer and Qontext presented. They both are great tools, maybe a year ahead of full adoption. Many believe most business communication will occur within social media. What I like about both is that they create a synergy and shared information. I have never seen a consulting client that doesn't have internal communication issues.
When I compare both services, their features are similar. Qontext has a few more. The BIG difference is that Qontext fully integrates within NetSuite, and Yammer takes the information out to a separate Yammer page. I use both. Compared head to head, I give Qontext an 8 and Yammer a 4. Qontext is fully integrated NOW, and Yammer won't integrate until "Q3".
