Acct for cost of an itm rec'd, shipped to process, rec'd back w/different item #

Here's an example...you receive body panel part 123000-SA0-000 for $50.  You ship body panel part 123000-SA0-000 to a painter who paints the panel and ships it back to you as part 123000-SA0-100.  It cost $25 to pain the panel.  How do you handle shipping the panel to the painter in NetSuite and how do you receive it back to ultimately show that the end product was $75 for that piece?
