Implementing fedex integration- anything I should know?

I am about to go live with an integration of fedex into Netsuite.  Is there anyone who has done this who can share with me any do's/don'ts??

Must we fill in all of the weights for items before we ship (we do not use the website at this time), or can we do this at the point of fulfillments?
