Units of Measure Bug or by Design???

We have an item set up with Unit Type: Weight; where weight has LB as the base unit & KG as .45359 of the base.

On the item we have the Stock Units, Purchase Units & Sales Units ALL as KG.
BUT, when you look on the inventory tab it's converting them to LB's.
WHY?
What do I have set wrong or if this is a BUG, can it be fixed soon?

Also, this item was originally set up with no Unit Type; now that it was updated with the above listed Unit Type it converted the inventory data, but it's wrong. How do I fix it?
