removing contact from customer doesn't delete contact

I just noticed something that is a little scary![LIST=1]
[*]Create a customer
[*]Add 3 contacts to the customer (note: these contacts are created FROM the customer)
[*]save the customer
[*]click the 'remove' link for each contact (looks like they are gone, doesn't it!?)
[*]go to Lists->Relationships->Contacts and sort by ID descending[/LIST]Hey, the contacts are still there and they still list the customer as their company!  Why??

Anyone else think this is incorrect?
