read receipt for e-mails

Is there anyway to flag e-mails sent thru NetSuite to request a read receipt?  Since the beginning of the year it seems that several of our customers who used to receive invoices by e-mail are suddenly not getting them.  It was brought up that if we could request read receipts on invoices we would know for sure that they rec'd them.  Any ideas?
