WARNING! Role permission not working on custom record
I have a custom record that is a child of the customer record.
I created a special role with its own custom center and gave it edit access to the customer record.
However, while in this role, in the customer record I can see the tab with the children custom records and there is a button 'New xxxx Record' which I can click on and CREATE a custom record. It basically gives me FULL access whether I set to 'NONE', remove, or otherwise.
What fixes it? Remove yourself as the owner of the custom record. That's right, if you are set as the owner, you get access, regardless of the role you are in.
