Update Matrix Sub Items via CSV import

I have a CSV file of 1000+ Matrix Items with category changes.
However, I need to obviously also update all the SubItems for these Matrix Items too.

So, I tried using the "Subitem of" field in the Import Assistant - assuming that I could match this against the Matrix ItemID. This unfortunately seemed to not work as expected.

So, the question is - Can I update Matrix SubItems using only the ItemID for the Matrix Item itself?
