Convert existing contacts to Individual (company) and contacts
There are several existing contact records that were entered with no company tied to them. There are limitations NetSuite has set for these records, including not tying activity-based records directly to these contact records.
Now that I understand the Individual company record feature better, I want to convert these "orphaned" contacts to Individual Companies, and also have a contact record for them (which there will be by default based on the general preferences set up to do so). Is there a way to do this without losing any of the existing data that's in the system for these contacts?
I know I can do an import, but I'm not sure how that would keep the existing data tied to the records.
