Canonical URL's - Setting Preferred Category

We have over 60,000 items in our webstore and it would be nearly impossible to set each Preferred Category manually.  Is there a way to export all of the categories each item is in and then choose a Preferred Category from them and import them back in.  I don't seem to be able to do this with a CSV, Preferred Category is not an option.  Any suggestions?
