"Light Manufacturing module" is there such a thing?

Currently, we are using Assemblies/BOM in Netsuite and I heard that Netsuite has a "Light Manufacturing module" or is developing a separate manufacturing module which will consolidate Assemblies/BOM. If that happens, what is going to happen to my current Assemblies/BOM that is in the standard module?
Does it mean that we have to buy the ADDON to continue with Assemblies/BOM ?
