Fulfillment Custom KPI's

I am trying to set up some custom KPI's for my fulfillment department, right now I would like to see orders fulfilled per day/by employee.  I have created a saved search for the total # of daily fulfillments, but on the dashboard it will not have a # to compare under "yesterday"  it seems like saved searches do not work for multiple days like reports.  Anyone have any tips/fulfillment metrics they would like to share?
