Opportunities/Esitmates

Can anyone tell me if they are able to add the ITEM field to an estimate or opportunity report?  Its not a custom field; its the same one used in almost ALL other transactions.  Unfortunately, I cannot add this field when trying to run Estimates or Opportunities
