Adding a formula field

Hi all,

This sounds pretty simple but I am unsure of how to get this working. I have a sales forecast report by sales rep detail and I want to have an extra column that contains one column multiplied by a constant value of 4. I have tried adding a custom formula field as a custom transaction body field but it does not appear in the drop down list of either the X or Y component of the report builder.

Please advise.
