Column width on saved search printout

We have a simple saved search with seven columns.  The sixth and seventh column runs off the page when we print.  We are looking for a way to control column width for both display and printed output.  We are using the following fields:

Transaction Date
Ship Via
Custom transaction body field #1 (decimal number)
Created From
Name on Transaction
Custom transaction body field #2 (decimal number)
Custom transaction body field #3 (decimal number)

Does anybody know how to set the column width on saved search output?
