How to Report on Closed/Open Quotations filtering by Item Class

I am hoping someone can help me. I need to be able to run a report or search on all quotes we have raised that are either closed as lost or processed or still open based on the "Class" on the line items on the quote. Everytime I try to put Class on any of the reports I attempt I get the "no data" response. I assume this is because Class is on the line item level not  on the main quote level. Appreciate anyone's feedback on how I can get this to work.
