Vendor Manager report

edited Jan 3, 2020 12:26AM in Search / Reporting 2 comments

Hi guys,

We have in the company a dozen or so Vendor Managers. Every each of them is looking after dozen or so Vendors ... This is fairly dynamic relationship. For every Vendor Manager I have created set of reports, i.e. Profitatiblity, Back Order etc ... As they change very often, I have to maintain all those reports changing Vendors in criteria. This is time consuming.
What would be goot to have is let`s say a custom field on the Supplier record, called let`s say `Manager`. With this in mind I would assign every Supplier/Vendor to specific Vendor Manager. Then on reports the filter I have in mind would be : Vendor = mine (or something similar). NetSuite would be looking at this custom field and if I am logged in as Vendor Manager ABC, it would find all Supplier/Vendor records which contain my name under `Manager` on the Supplier record and this would be filtered by. Going forward all I would have to change is

Howdy, Stranger!
