Getting Custom Field Values
I am doing a search for all inventory items and I get everything back including all the custom fields. I can find the values for the StringCustomFieldRef, BooleanCustomFieldRef, LongCustomFieldRef, and DoubleCustomFieldRef custom fields. I am not able to find the values for the SelectCustomFieldRef. The code I am using is below:
MyItem item = new MyItem(); SelectCustomFieldRef f = (SelectCustomFieldRef) field; if (f.getInternalId().equalsIgnoreCase("the field I am looking for")) { item.setValue(f.getValue().getName()); }
The problem is the following is always coming back as null.
f.getValue().getName();
I know the value is set because I can do and see the correct value.
