Setting COGS Account
How do I set the COGS for an Item. I am creating an assembly item via web services and need to set the COGS when the assembly item is created. I have the actually account number string. I thought I could just do the following:
AssemblyItem item = new AssemblyItem(); RecordRef cogsAccount = new RecordRef(); cogsAccount.setExternalId("cogsaccountnumber"); item.setCogsAccount(cogsAccount); However I am not getting the correct COGS account number. It is coming up with a default. The accounting preferences do not have anything specified for COGS.
