Charging a sales order before fulfillment

hi friends
I am confused on this can some one help please:

- While creating a sales order is it possible to charge them with a credit card, so that money is debited from their credit card instantly and only once it is done we do fulfillment ,
- Currently I have managed to get authorization on card but it is not charging them at the time of creating sales order: what setting if there is, I need to do for charging them instead of getting authorization.
- Also if I am not wrong I need to convert the Sales order into a cash sale while updating fulfillment .
