Web Lead Overwrites Existing Customer
This is a very troubling problem that we've experienced several times in the past year. Someone fills out our catalog request form (designed to create a new sales lead with the information they provide) and the information they enter overwrites an existing customer account. In the most recent case one of our wholesale customers from Orlando had his account status changed to a lead and his address to a residence in Kentucky. The email address on his account was also changed.
The catalog request form in question is not hand-coded, it's a customized netsuite online customer form. It can be found at this URL:
